Ukrainian MP urges Zelenskyy to dismiss chief of staff
Ukrainian parliament member Yaroslav Zheleznyak has called on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to dismiss his chief of staff, Andriy Yermak.
In a post on his Telegram channel, Zheleznyak said that the president doesn’t need to wait until Ukrainians push the decision, until charges are filed against Yermak, or until a court determines a just punishment, Caliber.Az reports.
“You simply need to take a pen and sign. Remove the person fully responsible for allowing Mindich’s gang to plunder the country all these years,” the parliamentarian said.
Meanwhile, Rada deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko alleged that Yermak gave orders to monitor employees of the country’s anti-corruption agencies and was involved in corruption schemes with President Zelenskyy’s associate Timur Mindich.
Goncharenko stated on Telegram that the searches at Yermak’s residence were due to three reasons: giving orders to monitor NABU and SAP employees, participating in Mindich’s schemes, and seizing another asset not yet reported in the media, which is documented.
Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) previously conducted searches at presidential chief Andriy Yermak’s office in the government quarter.
Yermak confirmed that investigators face no restrictions, have full access to his apartment, and that his lawyers are present to coordinate with law enforcement, adding that he is fully cooperating.
