Ukrainian national charged following violent incident in Polish capital
A 35-year-old Ukrainian woman has been charged in connection with a violent incident at a major railway hub in Poland’s capital, Warsaw.
The suspect—identified as Natalia S.—allegedly set fire to another woman’s hair inside the concourse of Warsaw’s Central Railway Station in the second half of January. After the attack, she fled the scene, Caliber.Az reports, ciitng Polish media.
Authorities launched an extensive investigation that lasted more than two months before locating and arresting the suspect on Sobieski Street in Warsaw.
Prosecutors have charged Natalia S. with offenses including creating an immediate danger to life or health, causing grievous bodily harm, and making threats to take another person’s life. If convicted, she could face up to three years in prison.
A court has ordered that she remain in custody for three months pending further legal proceedings. Police have not confirmed whether the suspect and the victim were previously acquainted.
