UN official hails thorough reconstruction efforts in Azerbaijan's Karabakh
The reconstruction efforts underway in Karabakh have been marked by comprehensive planning and a high standard of execution, the United Nations’ Resident Coordinator ad interim in Azerbaijan, Igor Garafulic, has said.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the international conference titled “Building Human Capital for Sustainable and Balanced Urban Development,” Garafulic said he was deeply impressed by the scale and quality of the restoration work in the region, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Garafulic noted that he had visited Karabakh approximately two weeks earlier and witnessed firsthand the progress being made.
“What truly leaves a very strong impression is how thoroughly everything has been planned and the high quality with which this reconstruction is being carried out,” he said.
