UNESCO representative proposes to include Shusha in World Heritage List
20 May 2022 07:20
Shusha has been proposed to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
This proposal was made by ex-head of Malta's National Commission for UNESCO Raymond Bondin at the international conference "Development of the post-conflict humanitarian agenda: sustainable development by revitalizing the cultural environment" in Shusha, according to APA.
He noted that Shusha is the best candidate for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List: "This is proved once again by the beauty, the landscape of the city of Shusha, and the importance that Azerbaijanis attach to this city."
