Urban infrastructure works in Lachin continue apace, five factories open

Eighty per cent of works on the creation of urban infrastructure in Lachin have been completed, 5 factories have been opened, and 430 people have been employed, Agil Safaraliyev, representative of "Bakı Abadlıq Xidməti" LLC told Report's Karabakh Bureau.

According to him, works on 712 objects continue in Lachyn: "Nine of them are apartment buildings. Works on non-residential objects were also carried out within the framework of measures for improvement. All communications have been fully constructed in the city. In general, the works related to the city infrastructure have been completed by 80 per cent".

Safaraliyev noted that about 50 factories and enterprises are planned to be launched in the agro-industrial park created on the territory of Zerti settlement of Lachin district: "Families living in the district will be provided with permanent jobs at the created enterprises. Five factories, including a furniture factory and a wool-processing factory, have already started operating in the agro-park. The commissioning of about 50 factories will provide jobs for 1,300 residents of Lachin. Currently, 430 residents are employed at the five factories."

It should be noted that as of today 336 families comprising 1,299 people have returned to Lachyn district for permanent residence. Another 75 families are planned to return to Lachin in November.
