US ambassador criticises Polish MEP for condolences for Iran’s Khamenei
US Ambassador to Poland Thomas Rose has criticised Polish MEP Grzegorz Braun after the far-right politician signed a book of condolences at the Iranian embassy in Warsaw following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
“America and US President Donald Trump will not forget who our friends are; and more importantly, who our friends are not,” Rose wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.

Braun, leader of the Confederation of the Polish Crown party and a member of the European Parliament, visited the Iranian embassy in Warsaw on March 6 and signed the condolence book for Khamenei, who was killed last week during ongoing US and Israeli attacks on Iran.
In the message, Braun wrote: “God bless the Iranian nation.” He also posted video footage of the visit on social media and criticised the US operation that killed Khamenei, calling it “shameful.”
Braun finished fourth in Poland’s presidential election last year. His party, Confederation of the Polish Crown (KKP), has recently risen in opinion polls, with support reaching about 8%.
