From August 9 to August 14, the Republic of Korea and the United States held a joint military exercise, including live firing drills at a range located 30 kilometres south of the border with North Korea.
The exercise, which involved approximately 320 personnel, featured both live fire and manoeuvring operations. Apache attack helicopters were utilized during the training to enhance operational effectiveness, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
To evaluate the coordination between the two forces, a joint task force was established, incorporating a US battalion from the Armored Division. This unit was deployed to South Korea as part of the Pacific Fortitude exercise.
The exercise is designed to assess the US Army's capability to rapidly deploy forces, conduct operations, and return to their permanent base.
