Video shows large fires at Syzran oil refinery after drone strike VIDEO

The Syzran Oil Refinery in Russia’s Samara Region was reportedly targeted in a Ukrainian drone attack on September 15, with video footage circulating online showing several large fires at the facility.

Local social media channels reported that the refinery was hit by Ukrainian drones. The reports and the circumstances of the incident have not been independently verified.

Syzran Oil Refinery JSC is one of the largest oil-processing facilities in the Samara Region and is part of Russian oil major Rosneft.

The refinery produces gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, liquefied petroleum gases and other petroleum products. Its annual crude-processing capacity ranges from 7 million to 8.5 million tonnes.
