Western Azerbaijan Community condemns former Armenian ombudsman's anti-Azerbaijan comments

The West Azerbaijan community has condemned the Azerbaijanophobic statements of the former Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan.

The community stressed that the former Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan again made several Azerbaijanophobic and ridiculous statements, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.

“One senses that A. Tatoyan and those who share his views were greatly disappointed by the lack of any violence or negative treatment of Armenian residents in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. They fail to prove their false claims of "genocide" and "ethnic cleansing" in any way, and they become enraged and make consistently nonsensical statements.

The opinions of A. Tatoyan and similar Dashnak-minded persons, distorting the activities of the West Azerbaijan Community, are also completely unfounded. The West Azerbaijan community has no territorial claims to Armenia. The activities of the Community are purely human rights and humanitarian in nature; they aim to achieve the peaceful return of Western Azerbaijanis to their ancestral lands and prevent the destruction of the historical and cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people in Armenia,”  the community said in a statement.
