Western Azerbaijanis urge Pashinyan refrain from turning Armenia into France's tool
The Western Azerbaijan Community has issued a statement urging Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to refrain from turning his country into a tool of French politics.
The term "West Azerbaijan" is based on historical and geographical realities and its use by the community is based on the right to self-identification, which is enshrined in international human rights conventions, the community said while commenting on Pashinyan's accusations that Azerbaijan is allegedly preparing an attack on Armenia, Caliber.Az reports.
"Pashinyan should clarify questions about the activities on Armenian territory of separatist elements encroaching on Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, as well as, about the preservation of claims to Azerbaijani territories in his country's legislation.
It is obvious that the Armenian Prime Minister, following France's orders, chose the path of creating tension in the region. The fact that France sells large quantities of weapons to Armenia, the current visit of the French Minister of Defense and heads of military-industrial companies to Armenia give grounds to say that Armenia intends to undertake a military adventure precisely at the instigation of this country.
We demand from Pashinyan not to turn Armenia into a tool of French games, to put an end to the policy of mass armament, to make peace with Azerbaijan, to create conditions for the return of Western Azerbaijanis," the community emphasized.
