The level of women’s employment in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions is showing steady growth amid ongoing restoration and reconstruction activities.

The remarks were made by Gadir Babayev, Head of Karabakh General Directorate on Architecture and Urban Planning, during a conference titled “Promoting Women’s Participation” held in Baku, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

In the healthcare sector, women account for an average of around 70% of employees. Approximately 350–400 women work in hospitals and other medical institutions across the region.

In public administration and the service sector, women hold about 30–40% of positions. In state service centres and local executive authorities, between 150 and 200 women are currently employed.
