WSJ: US president confirms full briefing on Israel’s Iran strikes We Know What’s Going On
US President Donald Trump disclosed to The Wall Street Journal that he was fully briefed on Israel’s plans to strike Iran.
“Heads-up? It wasn’t a heads-up. It was, we know what's going on.” Trump clarified, Caliber.Az reports.
Trump also cautioned Iran’s leadership to pursue a diplomatic resolution swiftly, warning them to act “before there is nothing left,” while emphasizing Israel’s possession of advanced US-manufactured military hardware, adding, “they know how to use it.”
Israel reported that the initial wave of the offensive involved two hundred jet fighters, marking a significant escalation in its campaign against Iranian targets. In response, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed retribution, asserting that Israel “should expect severe punishment” for the attacks.
Amid rising tensions, Israeli forces have commenced intercepting a barrage of drones launched by Iran in retaliation, signaling a rapidly intensifying conflict in the region.
Israel launched more attacks against Iran, hours after wide-ranging strikes on the country’s nuclear program and military leadership. The head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was killed and dozens of targets were hit in an operation that pushes the region into a new conflict with uncertain consequences.
