Young officers awarded in Azerbaijan’s Khankandi PHOTO/VIDEO

The city of Khankandi has hosted a youth forum of the Azerbaijani army.

The forum, dedicated to the Youth Day of Azerbaijan, brought together representatives of the ministries of defence, youth and sports, as well as young officers, warrant officers, sergeants, soldiers and cadets, the defence ministry told Caliber.Az.

Acting Chief of the Main Department for Personnel of the Defence Ministry Major General Elchin Khalilov wished the forum participants success on behalf of the ministry’s leadership. He also read out a congratulatory message by Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.

On the sidelines of the event, a group of army youth were awarded certificates of honour and valuable gifts for their successes in combat and socio-political training, for excellence in the fulfilment of tasks assigned to military units.
