Zakharova mocks Polish FM’s war preparations: "Stock up on haloperidol"

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has responded to remarks by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski about preparations for a possible military conflict, saying he should take haloperidol.

Sikorski had previously described the precautions he had taken at home in case of war, saying he had stocked up on rice and jam, kept a hand pump at home and identified the location of the nearest shelter.

Asked whether he had prepared an evacuation backpack in the event of a security threat, the Polish foreign minister said he had stored rice and made jam from fruit grown in his own garden. He also said he had a hand pump available at home.

Sikorski said he had reviewed safety guidelines and determined where the nearest shelter to his home was located.

He also stressed that everyone should know how to apply a bandage, arguing that basic first-aid skills could prove useful even in peacetime.

Commenting on the Polish minister’s remarks in a Telegram post, Zakharova wrote: “The only thing he really needs right now is haloperidol.”

Haloperidol is a potent antipsychotic medication belonging to the neuroleptic class.
