The main ceremony will take place at the site of the former camp in Oswiecim, Poland, with survivors, international leaders, and dignitaries in attendance.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will join other world leaders, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, King Charles III of the United Kingdom, and representatives from numerous European royal families. Heads of state and officials from EU governing bodies will also be present. Notably, up to 50 surviving former Auschwitz prisoners are expected to participate in the solemn memorial ceremonies.
