Zelenskyy receives detailed report on Ukraine’s high-level meetings in US
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv’s negotiating team delivered a comprehensive report on its recent consultations in the United States, emphasising that key issues were addressed in person due to their sensitivity.
In a statement posted on X, Zelenskyy said the delegation, led by secretary of Ukraine’s Security Council Rustem Umerov, discussed in person the matters that cannot be addressed over the phone in Florida, Caliber.Az reports.
He added that negotiators briefed him on the key points raised by the American side in the dialogue, noting that the talks were based on the so-called Geneva document, which has been refined.

Zelenskyy praised Andrii Hnatov for delivering “a very substantive briefing for our American partners on the actual situation at the front.” Alongside Ukrainian intelligence officials, the delegation discussed with US counterparts “the feasibility of various steps on the front line and the challenges of ensuring protection from Russian strikes and preventing violations of agreements in the event of a ceasefire.”
According to Zelenskyy, diplomats are pushing for strong involvement from European governments and members of the “Coalition of the Willing” in shaping future decisions. He said he updated his team on conversations with European leaders and with US envoy Steve Witkoff, held earlier in Paris.
The president warned that Moscow has already begun spreading disinformation ahead of Russia’s upcoming talks with Washington.
“I gave instructions to continue the most constructive work possible with President Trump’s team, as well as with our European partners,” Zelenskyy wrote, adding that Ukrainian intelligence will share with partners “all available information regarding Russia’s true intentions” and its attempts to use diplomacy “as cover to weaken sanctions and block important collective European decisions.”
“Ukraine approaches all diplomatic efforts with utmost seriousness – we are committed to achieving a real peace and guaranteed security,” Zelenskyy said. “This is exactly the level of commitment that must be compelled from the Russian side, and this task can be accomplished only together with our partners.”
The Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council will remain in continuous contact with US officials to set up further meetings, he added.
