Türkiye's imports of Russian mineral fuels decrease in October by quarter
Türkiye's imports of Russian mineral fuels, in particular coal, crude oil and natural gas have decreased by 25% in October 2022 to the previous month, making up $3.7 billion.
RBC reported on this citing foreign trade data published by the Turkish Institute of Statistics (Turkstat).
At the same time, Turkstat reports show that in annual terms, shipments of coal and hydrocarbons from Russia increased 2.9 times compared to the same period in 2021. The total value of Russian imports for this year equals about $50 billion.
Bloomberg reported earlier, with reference to the Turkish Ministry of Transport, that Ankara was going to introduce additional requirement for crude oil tankers to pass through its straits from December 1, noting further thatthat the insurance requirement by the Turkish authorities could seriously complicate Russian exports.
