PM Pashinyan invites Macron to Armenia for sixth time in three years
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has once again extended an invitation to French President Emmanuel Macron to visit Armenia — marking the sixth such invitation over the past three years.
Pashinyan highlighted the "centuries-old friendship" between Armenia and France in his message, describing the historical ties between the two nations as "key to the development of interstate relations," Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“We also greatly value the continued and important support of friendly France and your personal efforts aimed at establishing a just and lasting peace in the South Caucasus,” Pashinyan wrote.
Despite the repeated invitations, Macron’s only and last official visit to Armenia took place in October 2018.
For the record, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is presently in Brussels on an official visit.
A short time ago, trilateral talks kicked off between Pashinyan, European Council President António Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
