Next Azerbaijani aid plane takes off to Türkiye

The next Azerbaijani Emergencies Ministry’s aid plane has departed for Türkiye next to deal with the aftermath of the strong quake that hit the country on February 6.

Under the instruction of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, the plane that will deliver the mobile field hospital and 41 professional medical and non-medical personnel to the brotherly country is heading to Adana, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry’s press service.

A second plane, which will deliver tents, bedding, heaters and other equipment to accommodate the debris victims, will take off in the next few hours.

In accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, in order to eliminate the consequences of a strong earthquake in Türkiye, the Emergencies Ministry will send two more aircraft with humanitarian aid to the brotherly country.

As the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told Caliber.Az, a mobile field hospital of the ministry, equipped with all kinds of medical equipment and means, will be sent to the quake-affected Turkish regions on board one of the planes.

The hospital, consisting of 4 functional departments - reception and distribution, laboratory, surgical and intensive care, 3 auxiliary containers and 3 inflatable modules, is designed to provide the proper conditions for examination, surgery, and treatment of the most seriously wounded and sick.

Professional medical personnel of the ministry will work in the mobile field hospital.

The second aircraft will carry tents, bedding, heaters, and other equipment to accommodate people affected by the destruction.
