Azerbaijani-Turkish military games sharpen joint combat and decision skills PHOTO
Azerbaijani and Turkish military personnel took part in joint military exercises held in Istanbul, involving officers undergoing academic training at the National Defence Universities of both countries.
The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan shared details of the event with Caliber.Az.
Representing Azerbaijan were officers from the Operational and Tactical Training Department and faculty members from the Military Management Institute.
The primary objectives of these military exercises were to enhance officers’ decision-making skills during joint operations, to plan effective use of modern weapon systems in combat scenarios and ways to counter them, and to facilitate the exchange of experience between the two forces.
During the exercises, the Distinguished Observer Day was held, attended by prominent figures including the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, Army General Metin Gürak; Commander of the 1st Army, Army General Metin Tokel; Rector of the Turkish National Defence University, Professor Erhan Afyoncu; and from Azerbaijan, the Rector of the Military Management Institute, Colonel Elnur Alasgarli, along with other officials.
The evaluation group and observers gave high praise to the outcomes of the exercises, particularly highlighting the effectiveness of the joint actions performed by the participants.
