American Airlines flight makes emergency landing in Baku due to passenger health crisis
An American Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner operating a New Delhi-New York flight was compelled to make an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku following a sudden and severe health deterioration of a passenger onboard.
The aircraft touched down safely at 02:30 local time after the flight captain requested immediate medical assistance, the airport’s press service told Caliber.Az.
Upon landing, the passenger received prompt medical attention, and a thorough assessment of their condition is currently underway with continuous monitoring.
Following the completion of all necessary medical procedures and safety checks, the aircraft resumed its journey and departed Baku at 10:31, redirecting to London as part of its extended route.
