Turkish minister says Black Sea gas supplies to start by late April
19 March 2023 12:00
Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez expects that gas from the Sakarya field at the Black Sea will reach Turkish consumers by the end of April.
"We were following the plan, but there was a delay due to earthquakes. We plan to start deliveries by the end of April," Donmez told TRT, Gazeta.ru reports.
The Sakarya field was discovered in 2020. Its reserves are about 400 billion cubic metres of gas.
After the start of supply from the field, 10 million cubic meters of fuel per day will be available. Already by 2028, the figure should increase to 40 million cubic metres.
