The Russian military is actively using armoured vehicles in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction.
Nevertheless, the Ukrainian troops manage to effectively destroy the enemy's weapons, said Serhii Cherevaty, spokesperson of the Eastern grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"Over the past 24 hours, the enemy fired 197 shells with various types of artillery and MLRS [multiple rocket launchers] and attacked our positions 35 times in the Bakhmut direction. In the Bakhmut area alone, they [Russian forces] fired 73 times and tried to attack 25 times. This is the northern part of Bakhmut itself, Orikhiv, Vasylivka, and Bohdanivka," Cherevaty said.
In these battles, 96 Russians occupants killed and another 153 were wounded to varying degrees of severity.
In addition, the Lyman-Kupiansk direction has remained the record-setter in terms of artillery shelling by the Russians in recent weeks. Thus, the occupants fired 442 shells and 11 clashes took place during the day.
