Azerbaijan commissions new military units in liberated lands PHOTO
Azerbaijani Defence Minister Col Gen Zakir Hasanov and the leadership of the ministry familiarised themselves with the conditions created in several newly commissioned accommodation facilities in the liberated territories on June 9.
The newly-established military units have been provided with all the necessary conditions to meet the needs of the personnel serving in the difficult climate and terrain, Caliber.Az reports per the Defence Ministry.
The stations are equipped with modern equipment, furniture and supplies to provide all the necessities for the servicemen. There is a gun room, barracks, canteen, kitchen, food and clothing stores, bath and sanitary unit and generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the territory.
Col Gen.Hasanov highly appreciated the conditions created in the accommodation facility for the personnel.
At a meeting with servicemen, the minister inquired about their needs and brought to their attention the tasks assigned to the Azerbaijani Army by President Ilham Aliyev.
Hasanov talked about works carried out due to the attention and care of the Azerbaijani president, the improvement of social and living conditions of the military personnel and said that these works will be continued further.
In conclusion, the defence minister gave specific assignments on the organisation of combat duty, improvement of combat readiness of troops and further improvement of social conditions of military men.
Several new military units were inaugurated in Azerbaijan’s liberated Aghdam, Zangilan, Lachin, Khojavend, Khojaly districts. Azerbaijan has been opening military units in liberated regions to ensure the better reinforcement of its borders since the last year's war.
Azerbaijan continues to improve combat training, as well as the social and living conditions of servicemen serving in the liberated lands. The country has inaugurated several military units and other military facilities on its liberated territories following the victory in the 44-day war with Armenia.
