Azerbaijan launches new medical centres in liberated lands
Vugar Gurbanov, Executive Director of Association for the Management of Medical Territorial Divisions of Azerbaijan (TABIB), has said that the country launched new medical centres in the liberated lands.
He made the remarks at the 1st Symposium of World Azerbaijani Doctors jointly organized by TABIB and the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Heydar Aliyev Center, Caliber.Az reports.
Speaking at the event, Gurbanov said that a group of psychologists and psychiatrists-volunteers provided psychological assistance to the participants of the Patriotic War in Ganja, Shirvan, Salyan, Saatli, Ujar, Zardab, Aghjabadi, Barda, Beylagan, Bilasuvar, Fuzuli, Goygol, Ismayilli, Kurdamir, Goychay, Gabala, Neftchala regions.
“3316 servicemen received first psychological aid, 1385 servicemen underwent psychiatric examination.
Psychological assistance was also provided to 753 victims of Armenian terror (shelling) in Ganja, Tartar and Barda.
A modular hospital was opened in the city of Shusha, and health centres were opened in Lachin, Jabrayil, Hadrut and the village of Agali. Medical services are provided at the highest level, within the framework of compulsory medical insurance.
For successful work, there must be appropriate human capital. And we, in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, pay special attention to this. Professional doctors are needed to provide professional help.
At the moment, 94,084 employees work in medical institutions reporting to TABIB. Of these, 53,389 are medical personnel. In 2022, 12,379 people were hired by medical institutions, and from the beginning of 2023 - more than 3,500 people,” Gurbanov noted.
The symposium is attended by more than 100 Azerbaijani doctors working in Türkiye, Russia, Germany, the United States of America, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Great Britain, Italy, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Georgia, Poland and Romania.
