Lavrov mulls humanitarian activities in Garabagh with ICRC chief

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Mirjana Spoljaric Egger on the fringes of the UN General Assembly in New York.

At the meeting, they discussed humanitarian issues related to the situation in Ukraine, Garabagh, Afghanistan, Sudan, and Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry told Kommersant.

“They synchronized watches on the current parameters of the ICRC’s activities in the Russian Federation,” explained the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The topic of the meeting was “humanitarian activities in the main regional areas”.

The Foreign Ministry does not disclose the details of the meeting between Sergei Lavrov and Mirjana Spoljaric Egger.
