Azerbaijani firefighters put out blaze in Khankendi
Firefighters of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Azerbaijan extinguished the fire in the city of Khankendi on September 26.
They managed to out the blaze in a short time without allowing it to spread, the ministry's press service reports.
The surrounding areas, including other fuel tanks, were protected from fire.
A deadly fire took place last week as a result of a fuel cistern's explosion in a gas station in Azerbaijan's Khankendi city in the Garabagh region. Over 200 people suffered the incident, according to multiple sources.
On September 25, units of the State Fire Protection Service of Azerbaijan's Emergencies Ministry were deployed to the scene. They took immediate measures after the assessment of operational conditions confirming the high risk of fire's expansion to surrounding areas.
Currently, the fire is taken under full control by the Azerbaijani firefighters.
