UK extradites foreigner on international wanted list to Azerbaijan

Based on a petition from the Azerbaijani Prosecutor-General's Office, the UK in conformity with the requirements of the European Convention "On Extradition", dated December 13, 1957, extradited Moldovan citizen Ion Sekrieru to Azerbaijan.

Ion Sekrieru was put on the international wanted list as part of a criminal case of theft causing significant damage, as well as illegal interference in computer systems or computer data of public infrastructure facilities, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Prosecutor-General's Office.

The accused was detained in the UK and today was delivered to Azerbaijan accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service under Justice Ministry.
