Armenian premier clarifies Yerevan’s expectation from Kremlin-led military bloc During the warfare

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan did not expect the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to intervene militarily in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, it needed the organization's political position, TASS reports.

"I want to draw attention to one important nuance. Armenia has never expected military intervention from the CSTO. Let no one get the impression that we tried to drag the organization into war. We, first of all, expected a political position. It was important for us to understand the CSTO's area of responsibility in Armenia and the South Caucasus. If we had received a clear answer, there would have been no further questions, as the relevant mechanisms would have been activated," Pashinyan told the parliamentary hour.
