    REGION - 06 July 2022 - 16:17

The Russian Foreign Ministry has said that some progress has been made in the activities of the trilateral Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian working group.

The deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry information and press department, Alexey Zaitsev, made the remarks at a weekly briefing, according to Report.

"As a result of the meeting of the trilateral group held in Moscow on June 3, as well as the contacts of the co-chairs on the sidelines of the St Petersburg Economic Forum, some progress has been made, and it was possible to bring the positions of the parties closer together on various aspects of the restoration of transport communications," he said.

Zaitsev stressed that within the framework of the trilateral working group, the launch of railway and automobile communication in the region is being discussed in the interests of Azerbaijan, Armenia and their neighbours.

He also noted that the work within the framework of the trilateral working group on unblocking all economic and transport ties in the South Caucasus under the co-chairmanship of the Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian deputy prime ministers continue.
