Azerbaijan hosts second National Yaylaq Festival PHOTO
The second National Yaylaq (Pasture) Festival has kicked off in Azerbaijan.
The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) under the Ministry of Economy made the announcement, Oxu.Az reported.
The festival, organized by the Javad Khan History and Culture Foundation initiative, with support from KOBİA and other partner agencies, features products of microenterprises and creative individuals.
This is the second such festival, and this year it is being held in an area called Khan Yaylag in Hajikend, Goygol district.
About 300 guests from 22 foreign countries are taking part in it.
The thematic corners "Jydyr Square", "Yaylag Market", "Craft Corner", "Dede Gorgud Hearth", "Yaylag Yatagy", "Ashug Alesker Hearth", "Pahlavan Square" were opened in the ethnic village Yaylag Yurdu located in Khan Yaylag.
During the three days of the festival, participants will enjoy performances of ethnic musical groups invited from foreign countries, local groups, national dances, folk songs, stage and theater compositions, ancient folk games, handicraft items, samples of national clothing.
