Armenia purportedly advancing peace process with Azerbaijan & Türkiye - minister
Armenia has actively engaged in the peace agreement process with Azerbaijan and is striving to fully normalize relations with Türkiye.
"Armenia has sincerely joined the process of concluding an agreement with Azerbaijan on the establishment of peace and interstate relations based on the principle of mutual recognition of each other's territorial integrity and delimitation of the state border based on the 1991 Almaty Declaration,” Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Mirzoyan further emphasized Armenia’s continuous efforts to resolve its relations with Türkiye.
"Armenia is constantly endeavoring to fully resolve relations with Türkiye, establish diplomatic relations, and open borders, which, if successful, will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the region," he mentioned during his presentation at the ministerial segment of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York.
He highlighted the significance of Armenia's Crossroads of Peace project, aimed at developing ties with neighboring countries. This initiative seeks to transform the regional dynamics from conflict to mutually beneficial cooperation.
