Armenia renews shelling Azerbaijani army positions
The Armenian armed forces have renewed shelling the Azerbaijani army positions on the conditional state border.
Furthermore, the units of the Azerbaijani army have thwarted the fortification attempts of the illegal Armenian armed groups stationed on the territory of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Defence Ministry.
On July 11, starting from 19:00 to 19:15, members of illegal Armenian armed detachments in the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, attempted to install long-term fortification facilities in front of the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of the Kalbajar region, the ministry said in a statement.
The conducted work was immediately stopped as a result of the urgent measures taken by the Azerbaijan Army Units.
Moreover, starting from 21:15 to 21:30, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the directions of the Ashaghi Shorzha and Yukhari Shorzha settlements of the Basarkechar region using small arms periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of the Yellija settlement of the Kalbajar region.
The Azerbaijan Army Units took adequate retaliatory measures in the mentioned direction.
To recap, a serviceman of the Azerbaijani army was injured around 16:00 on July 11 as Armenian armed forces fired from their positions located in the direction of the Digh settlement of the Gorus district to the opposite positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the Lachin district.
"As a result of the shelling, a serviceman of the Azerbaijani army Abdullayev Huseyn Arif oglu was wounded,” the ministry reported.
