Türkiye wraps up international winter military exercise cycle VIDEO/PHOTOS
The Turkish military's international winter season exercise cycle "Winter-2025", to which Azerbaijani defense professionals were also invited, has come to an end in the city of Kars.
Türkiye's Ministry of National Defense confirmed the completion of the drills, which aimed to test soldiers' combat skills in harsh weather conditions and enhance their training, Caliber.Az reports.
"Despite challenging geographic and weather conditions, troops from friendly and allied nations demonstrated outstanding performance, successfully eliminating all targets with precision. The Winter-2025 exercises have been successfully completed according to plan," the statement read.

International delegations from the following countries have been taking part in the training cycle: Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Italy, Kosovo, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, North Macedonia, Pakistan, Bulgaria, France, England, Libya, Mongolia, Niger, Tajikistan, United States and Jordan. A team consisting of special forces from the countries participating in the exercise carried out an infiltration operation against the enemy target determined in accordance with the scenario.
The exercise cycle commenced on January 20 and was attended by 12,000 military personnel from Türkiye's Ministry of National Defense, General Staff, Land Forces Command, Naval Forces Command, Air Forces Command and Special Forces Command, civilian public institutions and organizations are participating.
The exercise aimed to enhance coordination in joint operations, test combat capabilities in extreme winter conditions, and improve synchronization of firing and maneuvering, Turkish media reported. It also focused on training in settlements, field survival, logistics, and command systems operation in winter. Additionally, it provided commanders with leadership experience and strengthened joint training with allied forces.
