Winter Exercise-2025: Azerbaijani forces display unmatched professionalism in Türkiye PHOTO

On February 5, 2025, the “Distinguished Visitors Day” took place in the city of Kars, Republic of Türkiye, as part of the “Winter Exercise-2025.”

Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az that the event was attended by significant military figures, including Major General Kanan Seyidov, Commander of the Separate Combined Arms Army, Major General Ilgar Latifov, Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces of the Azerbaijan Army, and Army General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Turkish Armed Forces. 

Representatives from the Azerbaijani Military Attaché Office in Türkiye and other participating nations also joined the event.

The event kicked off with a presentation of statistical data regarding the exercise’s course and objectives. Officers presented reports on the progress of the exercise, with updates provided through video links and on terrain schematics.

During the observation, guests were shown the legal information and media management points that were used throughout the conditional operations. Following the official part, the audience observed a series of practical demonstrations, showcasing various military episodes conducted by participants at the training ground.

The exercise aimed to test and ensure the coordination of different military units. Key activities included evaluating combat skills, fire control, and search and rescue operations, along with the deployment of combat support elements. 

The scenario involved using artillery, armoured vehicles, combat aircraft, and helicopters to destroy shelters, equipment, and personnel of illegal armed groups.

One of the significant highlights of the exercise was the successful tactical airborne group landings in challenging weather conditions. These troops demonstrated their ability to carry out combat missions in mountainous terrain, further showcasing the high level of professionalism among the Azerbaijani servicemen involved in the exercise.

The “Winter Exercise-2025” demonstrated the preparedness and proficiency of Azerbaijan's military personnel, underscoring their commitment to maintaining high standards of operational readiness.
