Armenia showcases military reform agenda in Brussels talks
A delegation from Armenia took part in a high-level meeting in Brussels on June 10–11, where it presented ongoing military education and training reforms as part of the country’s broader armed forces transformation.
The delegation was led by Armenian Deputy Chief of Defence, Major General Artur Yeroyan, who participated in a session of the Executive Academic Board of the European Security and Defence College held at the headquarters of the European Commission, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
During the meeting, Major General Artur Yeroyan outlined reforms currently being implemented in the field of military education and training, which form part of Armenia’s ongoing efforts to modernize and restructure its armed forces.
Additional presentations were delivered by Major General Arsen Mangasaryan, Head of the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Academy of the Ministry of Defence, as well as Tigran Harutyunyan, Coordinator for cooperation between the Ministry of Defence of Armenia and NATO and the European Union in the field of military education.
The discussions focused on Armenia’s defence education system and its engagement with international partners as part of broader institutional reforms.
