Armenia transfers Tochka-U missile systems to Ukraine Russia sounding alarm
The Armenian authorities have decided to transfer several Tochka-U tactical missile systems to Ukraine.
The relevant agreements were reached during a meeting between Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan and Andrii Yermak, Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, although it could have happened even earlier with the participation of the Americans, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Russian Telegram channel Rybar, affiliated with the Russian security services, whose number of subscribers exceeds 1.2 million people.
"This is not surprising amidst a fundamental change in relations with Russia and the [Armenian Prime Minister Nikol] Pashinyan administration's attempt to mess up everything. Especially since Yerevan has started preparing documents for the country's withdrawal from the CSTO,” the channel said.
According to the message, the exact number of launchers and missiles available is unknown: open sources said there were at least three, but according to our information several more upgraded Tochka systems were handed over to the Armenians before the special military operation.
“And all of them together with impressive ammunition (up to 200 missiles) may end up in Ukraine. At the same time, the White House is actively pushing the issue of transferring to the Ukrainian armed forces the Osa-AK anti-aircraft missile systems in service with the Armenian Armed Forces.
Their number, taking into account the losses in the Second Karabakh War [of 2020], maybe up to 30-40 units. Given the current course of the Armenian authorities, we do not rule out the option that the Armenians will give everything they have to Ukraine without worrying much about their defence capabilities," Rybar added.
