Armenia uses social networks to collect information about Azerbaijani citizens during war
Director of the E-Government Development Centre of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan Fariz Jafarov has said that Armenia used social networks to collect information about the Azerbaijani citizens during the second Karabakh war.
Jafarov made the remarks at the Global Hybrid Warfare and Cyber Security Summit in Baku on October 3, Report informs.
He noted that Azerbaijani citizens shared photos of their biometric passports and other documents on social networks, which is unsafe given the current level of technology development.
In general, such thoughtless handling of personal data is a threat both to the citizens themselves and to the country as a whole, Jafarov said.
He said that effective tools are required to combat state agencies with potential cyber threats and possible leakage of personal data.
