The Minister further highlighted that during a separate meeting with representatives of Israeli company Elbit Systems, the focus was on enhancing strategic cooperation in cybersecurity, digital resilience, and artificial intelligence.
Nabiyev added that opportunities to establish centres of excellence and training in Azerbaijan were also discussed as part of these collaborative efforts.
To recall, ICL is a multinational manufacturing company that develops, produces, and markets fertilisers, metals, and other specialised chemical products. The company primarily serves three sectors: agriculture, food, and engineered materials. ICL produces around a third of the world's bromine and ranks as the sixth-largest potash producer globally. It is also a leading manufacturer of speciality fertilisers, speciality phosphates, flame retardants, and water treatment solutions.
ICL is predominantly controlled by the Israel Corporation, one of the largest conglomerates in Israel. In addition to operating the Dead Sea Works, Israel Chemicals also mines phosphates in the Negev Desert.
Note that, Elbit Systems is a prominent global defence technology company, providing advanced solutions to ensure a safer and more secure world. The company designs, manufactures, integrates, and supports a wide range of next-generation solutions across various domains.
Driven by its agile, collaborative culture and leveraging Israel’s technological ecosystem, Elbit Systems helps customers tackle the rapidly changing challenges of the battlefield and counter emerging threats.
Employing around 20,000 people across dozens of countries on five continents, Elbit Systems reported revenues of approximately $1.7 billion in 2024, alongside an order backlog of $22.1 billion.
