Pharmaceutical collaboration takes centre stage in Azerbaijan-Belarus talks
On April 16, 2025, the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan hosted a meeting with Dmitry Pinevich, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Azerbaijan.
The Minister of Health of Azerbaijan, Teymur Musayev, welcomed the ambassador and congratulated him on his appointment as Belarus’s new envoy to Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az has learned from the ministry.
Minister Musayev highlighted the growing ties between Azerbaijan and Belarus in various sectors. He emphasised the significant role that regular meetings between the two countries' leaders and reciprocal visits by government officials play in advancing bilateral relations across different areas.
The Minister also expressed his satisfaction with the fruitful collaboration between Azerbaijan and Belarus in the healthcare sector. He noted that regular reciprocal visits are organised for doctors specialising in fields such as cardiology, oncology, transplantology, neurosurgery, and others, focusing on events for experience exchange and professional development.
Teymur Musayev pointed out the importance of the pharmaceutical industry, which is a leading sector worldwide in terms of innovation. He underscored the successful collaboration between the two countries in this area.
Ambassador Pinevich, for his part, emphasised Belarus’s strong commitment to its relationship with Azerbaijan. He acknowledged that the bilateral cooperation has developed dynamically in recent years, noting that Azerbaijan and Belarus have made significant progress, reaching the level of strategic partnership.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed future opportunities for cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry. They also exchanged views on improving the training of medical personnel, establishing collaborative efforts to integrate digital healthcare systems, and other issues of mutual interest.
