Azerbaijan actively searching 6 servicemen captured, went missing during Patriotic War

The State Security Service of Azerbaijan is actively conducting the search for Azerbaijani servicemen who were captured and went missing during the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020.

Ali Nagiyev, head of the service and chairman of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, said as a result of prompt and urgent measures taken by the commission in cooperation with the relevant state bodies and international structures, and with the mediation of international organizations,  12 Azerbaijani servicemen, who were wounded and captured during the hostilities, have been released and returned home.

“But, unfortunately, the fate of 6 of our servicemen is still uncertain, and the process of their search is currently actively ongoing," APA quotes him as saying.
