Azerbaijan advances preparations for COP29 at organising committee meeting

The fifth meeting of the Organising Committee for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) was held recently.

The meeting featured addresses by key officials, including Samir Nuriyev, Head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration; Mukhtar Babayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources and President-Designate of COP29; Anar Alakbarov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov; Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration; Sabina Aliyeva, Ombudswoman of Azerbaijan; Kamaladdin Heydarov, Minister of Emergency Situations; and Baku Mayor Eldar Azizov, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

In conclusion, instructions were given for the implementation of the Action Plan related to the organization and hosting of COP29 and other relevant issues.
