Azerbaijan celebrates Novruz holiday

Novruz holiday is celebrated in Azerbaijan today.

As Caliber.Az recalls, this is the third Novruz holiday that the Azerbaijani people celebrate after the victory in the Patriotic War (2020).

The Novruz holiday is one of the ancient traditions of the Azerbaijani people, and for the third time it is celebrated in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan that are reviving to life. The people of Azerbaijan have been proudly celebrating the Novruz holiday for the third year.

The arrival of spring this year will be on March 21 01:24:24. On this day, the Sun crosses the celestial equator, that is, it passes from the southern hemisphere to the northern. This brings spring to the northern hemisphere.

In the northern hemisphere, the spring season will last until June 21.

Novruz holiday means the meeting of the new year, the first day of spring. The Novruz holiday also marks the spring equinox.

On September 30, 2009, Novruz Bayram was included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
