Azerbaijan condemns terrorist attack in Pakistan That killed at least 73 people
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pakistan.
“Appalled by the horrifying news of a terrorist attack that killed dozens in Balochistan, Pakistan. We vehemently condemn all forms and manifestations of terrorism threat, offer heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of this awful attack, and express our firm solidarity with brotherly Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” Caliber.Az quotes the Ministry as saying on its X page.
In Pakistan's Balochistan province, a minimum of 73 people lost their lives when separatist militants targeted police stations, railway lines, and highways, prompting security forces to carry out counterattacks.
These attacks mark the most extensive violence from ethnic militants in years, who have been waging a prolonged insurgency aimed at achieving the secession of the resource-rich southwestern province.
Balochistan is significant due to major China-led projects, including a port and a gold and copper mine.
