Azerbaijan confirms participation in 2026 World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan
Azerbaijan has confirmed it will participate in the upcoming World Nomad Games, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6.
The announcement was made by Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Culture, Mirbek Mambetaliyev, during a presentation of the event in Baku, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
He said the opening ceremony of the Games will take place in the capital city of Bishkek, while the main sporting competitions will be held at Lake Issyk-Kul.
The minister welcomed Azerbaijan’s participation, noting that the country will also be involved in cultural and scientific programmes alongside the sporting events.
He added that cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan in cultural and humanitarian fields is developing steadily, supported by the presidents of both countries, Sadyr Japarov and Ilham Aliyev.
