Azerbaijan detains Afghan border crossers

The Azerbaijani State Border Service officers have detained three Afghan citizens who attempted to violate the state border and infiltrate from Iran to Azerbaijan.

The violation attempt was recorded near Boyuk Bahmanli village of Fuzuli district at 19:35 on March 12, Caliber.Az informs, citing the State Border Service.

The service area of the border outpost was immediately closed off and the violators were detained by the border guards.

The investigation revealed that the detainees are Afghan citizens Davood Afshar Janmurad, Nadir Juma Abdulrauf and Najibullah Khalili Abdulnazar.

Investigations into the case are continuing.
