Azerbaijan engages on global tourism stage at UNWTO session PHOTO
Representatives from Azerbaijan participated in the 121st session of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) held in Barcelona, Spain.
The session, chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saw participation from over 30 member countries.
The State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, highlighted Azerbaijan's collaboration with the UN in tourism ahead of the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the Framework Convention on Climate Change scheduled for November in Baku, AZERTAC reports.
During the session, Kanan Gasimov, Chief of Staff of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, provided detailed insights into the agency's cooperation with UNWTO and urged members of the Executive Council to support joint initiatives proposed for COP29 in Baku.
