Azerbaijan ensures removal of Armenian-plagiarised song from YouTube

Cypriot singer of Armenian origin, Hovik Demirchyan, has been accused of plagiarising the Azerbaijani song "Qal, sənə qurban", composed by Alakbar Taghiyev with lyrics by Mikayil Mushfig.

Demirchyan presented the song on YouTube as an Armenian composition performed in Greek, Caliber.Az reports, citing a statement from the Intellectual Property Agency of Azerbaijan.

The agency took swift action to address the issue. As a result of their efforts, the plagiarised version of the song performed by Demirchyan has been removed from YouTube.
