Azerbaijan expanding medical ties with Saudis PHOTO
Health Minister Teymur Musayev has met with newly-appointed Saudi ambassador to Azerbaijan Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss further cooperation and other issues of mutual interest, the ministry told Caliber.Az.
Musayev congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in developing the partnership between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The minister emphasised that Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are connected by common cultural and religious roots.
“I would like to stress the special role of high-level visits in strengthening bilateral relations. Along with other spheres, healthcare cooperation between our countries is expanding,” Musayev noted.
Musayev expressed satisfaction with the current cooperation in medical science and emphasised the importance of further development of these ties.
While thanking for the warm welcome, the ambassador noted that Saudi Arabia attaches special importance to the development of bilateral relations with Azerbaijan. The ambassador added that there are all the necessary opportunities to increase the healthcare cooperation level between the two countries.
The prospects for cooperation in the pharmaceutical field and medical education were also discussed during the conversation.
