Trade between Azerbaijan, Georgia jumps by 32% from previous year
The overall value of the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia has surpassed half a billion USD within the first 8 months of the year, marking a 32.3% increase from the previous year.
The two neighbouring countries have traded goods and services worth $541.7 million from the period of January–August 2025, Caliber.Az reports citing information published by Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee.
Azerbaijan’s exports to Georgia accounted for the bulk of this trade, totalling $435.6 million. This figure has increased by 28.8% from the previous year. Those exports made up 2.55% of Azerbaijan’s overall export share, in contrast to the year-to-year comparison of 1.86% in 2024.
Imports from Georgia also saw a sharp rise, climbing by 49.2% from last year to $106 million. Their share in Azerbaijan’s total imports increased to 0.7%, compared with 0.56% in the same period last year.
